Pam Bondi Diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer

Pam Bondi received a thyroid cancer diagnosis shortly after her departure from leading President Donald Trump's Department of Justice last month, Axios reported.
Following treatment, Bondi is currently in recovery, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to Axios.
As of Tuesday evening, the White House had issued no public statement regarding the report. Kate Miller, wife of Trump's chief policy architect Stephen Miller, revealed on X Tuesday that Bondi had been battling the illness for multiple weeks.

"Pam has been quietly kicking cancer's a-- the last few weeks," Katie Miller posted. "@PamBondi has a heart of gold."
Axios broke the story of Bondi's cancer treatment, which emerged concurrently with news of her assignment to an advisory panel concentrating on AI policy, reports the Mirror US.
The ex-attorney general will join the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, chaired by David Sacks and Michael Kratsios and comprising over a dozen technology industry leaders, according to Axios.
"Pam has been an enormously valuable asset to the president's team, and I'm thrilled for her and for all of us that she's going to remain involved in confronting some of the most important issues the administration faces," Vice President JD Vance said in a statement.
Prior to her removal from the Justice Department, Bondi had established herself as Trump's primary advocate. Facing intense scrutiny over Jeffrey Epstein and allegations of a politicized Justice Department, Bondi launched a striking counteroffensive during a remarkable February speech, in which she ridiculed her Democratic critics, lauded Trump's stewardship of the stock market, and openly declared her allegiance to a president she portrayed as a victim of past impeachments and investigations, according to The Associated Press.
"You sit here, and you attack the president, and I'm not going to have it," Bondi told lawmakers on the House Judiciary Committee. "I am not going to put up with it."
Trump ultimately ousted Bondi from the Justice Department after reportedly growing increasingly dissatisfied with her perceived reluctance to pursue his political rivals aggressively, as well as her widely condemned management of the Epstein files.
In a September social media post, Trump publicly pressured Bondi to bring charges against several of his perceived adversaries, expressing impatience with the pace of action.
"Pam: I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that, essentially, 'same old story as last time, all talk, no action. Nothing is being done. What about Comey, Adam 'Shifty' Schiff, Leditia??? They're guilty as hell but nothing is going to be done,'" Trump said of New York Attorney General Letitia James, former FBI Director James Comey and California Sen. Adam Schiff. "We can't delay any longer, it's killing our reputation and credibility," Trump wrote. "They impeached me twice, and indicted me (5 times!), OVER NOTHING. JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!!"
Despite Bondi's pursuit of those prosecutions, none have succeeded to date.
Democratic legislators, meanwhile, walked out of a closed-door briefing with Bondi in mid-March regarding the Epstein case, declaring they "do not trust her" and vowing to compel her to testify under oath.
"We want her under oath because we do not trust her," stated Democratic Rep. Maxwell Frost.
Since then, Bondi has largely withdrawn from the political spotlight.
