Dallas Whale Mural Painted Over for FIFA Art; Artist Threatens Lawsuit

In downtown Dallas, a decades-old whale mural, known as the 'Wailing Wall 82', was painted over to make way for FIFA World Cup artwork. The original artist, Wyland, expressed devastation and plans to take legal action, asserting that the artwork was federally protected. Wyland, who has created over 100 similar murals worldwide, hopes to prevent such incidents from happening to other public artworks in Dallas.
