This is a historic Italianate-style solid brick residence built by a riverboat captain in 1850 and later notably owned by Sen. John B. Henderson, who proposed a bill to abolish slavery, which later became the 13th Amendment authored by Sen. Lyman Trumbull. It has been lovingly preserved with the majority of original details plus modern amenities added. Love to see professionally restored homes. No notes, except the exterior - it needs new paint and whatever repairs needed k. Lousy schools and I don't know nothing about the area except that it's surrounded by small cities and 2 hrs from Saint Louis.
