If you live near a COSTCO, get a membership. Even if you are single with no kids

I did the math. Costco membership is $65 a year, or $5.42 a month. Their gas is approx 25 cents cheaper per gallon so just filling up your tank twice a month pays for the membership. And their $5 rotisserie chicken is good for 4 meals. Get a friend and split the cost of the membership. You can split the bulk products too. The problem is that self control. Some of their things are so tempting. I go there wanting to buy just fruit and end up leaving the store with muffins and a pair of sneakers. I got Sam's Club for $20 a year thanks to a special offer. I like their pizza better than Costco's. It is just $9 and it lasts me at least 4 meals (single person). Ordering a couple pizzas a year paid for the membership.
