Made a memory dress from my late father's shirts.

My father passed away last year and I was left with a lot of his cotton shirts. I couldn't bear to part with them, so I decided to make something I could wear to keep him close.
I’m usually a bag maker, so sewing a full garment was a bit of a challenge for me! It felt like a puzzle trying to fit the pattern pieces onto the shirt panels while keeping the stripes looking intentional. It was a very healing project and I’m so happy with how the patchwork turned out. I call this the "Memory Dress".
The only problem is that my daughter fell in love with it and has already claimed it! Now I’ll have to make another one for myself from a different selection of his shirts.
Does anyone have suggestions for other similar dress patterns that work well for shirt upcycling? I still have quite a lot left to use. 😊
