@TheBlaxtion: A Baltimore mother says the school failed her son after learning he has to start high school over despite being promoted for four years. Tiffany France's 17-year-old son attends Augusta Fells Savage Institute of Visual Arts in West Baltimore. After four years, he earned a 0.13 GPA, passed three classes, and earned 2.5 credits. In February, months before graduation, the school told France her son was being moved back to ninth grade. "He didn't fail. The school failed him," France said. His class rank is 62 out of 120 students, meaning nearly half his classmates have a GPA of 0.13 or lower. In three years, he failed 22 classes and was absent or late 272 times. Only one teacher requested a parent conference, which never happened. No one told France her son was failing.
