Hi friends! I posted a couple weeks ago about being in a plateau… you gals advised me to try a maintenance break. Well I did & I feel great not being in a deficit anymore. I’ve decided I’m happy with my weight of 130lbs and don’t plan on intentionally trying to lose anymore weight this year. I’m ready to be the my main-gain era! I started at 169lbs, so this was a 39lb loss that spanned 16 months. I prioritized strength training and eating high protein (body weight in lbs x .8) . I tried to lose weight for so many years with A LOT of failure. I think reframing it a health journey changed the game for me. Yes I was trying to lose weight, but gaining strength was my main priority. I have completely changed my lifestyle and overcame binge eating tendencies. What a journey it’s been. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without this community. I use to be a high cortisol, cardio bunny and y’all really encouraged me to aim to be strong 💪🏻 (I still do enjoy a nice long walk tho). Also- in the before pic I was about a point away from being pre-diabetic. My A1C is now completely normal ! That has been the biggest win for me by far.
